A political scientist asks seven questions about leisurely choices and looks at their relationship to political ones. Individual choices in travel, food, and activities tell us about much more than taste-buds or climate preferences. They tell us about worldviews. How people relate to the idea of ‘community’ may foreshadow their behavior as consumers and voters.
